The Showcase Features
As it’s the start of a new year and we’ve been on a break I’ve chosen some posts which are my favourite from my lovely fellow Sunday Showcase co-hosts. It was pretty hard to choose but these are the ones which stuck out to me. They are all fun ideas to learn literacy skills!
A fun way to encourage listening skills and to begin to listen for sounds – invaluable for reading and writing.
Such a brilliant idea for learning phonics. I love this so much
DIY Manipulatives for Preschool
from Train Up a Child
Some brilliant tools to help practice letter recognition as well as make words. I need to start making these for the twins.
from Here Come the Girls
A lovely way to practice sounds or spelling or handwriting. As long as you don’t mind getting glitter everywhere!
We’ve really struggled with spelling tests this year. It’s so hard to keep younger children motivated. This bumper pack of ideas has been invaluable.
Anything kid friendly and/or child centered is welcome!
