Meet the Lumo Stars

Meet the Lumo Stars

My children have a fascination with big-eyed animals. When they saw the brand new collectable plush toys Lumo Stars they yelled in delight. These animals have the hugest eyes imaginable, with rainbow colours, like the Northern Lights, based on the North Pole.

There are 36 different toys to collect, each has its own story. Each animal in the collection is based on a real one living in the Nordic countries. The toys come in three different sizes:

  • Mini 8,5 cm
  • Classic 15 cm
  • Big 24 cm

The thing I like the most about this collection is that it is based on its own storybook. This is really lovely as it brings the toys to life. The story is based on a children’s book, Northern Brights, written by Kati Heljakka in April, 2017

It is a lovely story about friendship featuring the Lumo Stars.

As well as the book there is also an app to really bring the Lumo Stars to life. You can scan the tag and give it a name as well as play games with it and take silly selfies together. There is an educational aspect to the app as you can learn facts about the animals in the Lumo Stars world.

The toys are really soft and perfect to cuddle. They have the fluffiest fur imaginable in real and make believe colours. We particularly liked the rainbow coloured fur on the owl.

The plush toys would make a lovely bedtime companion as they are such a good size to hold.

The Lumo Stars have a small keyring sized toy. These are perfect for putting on your school bag so you always have a cute friend with you. It would be lovely for an anxious child to put on their backpack for school or a trip away as they will know they have a buddy with them.
