A couple of weeks ago I had an email which made me dance around the room. It was the opportunity to review something from Snapfish, the online photo processing company. I lurve taking photographs and while digital is brilliant it’s lovely to actually have a real photograph you can hold in your hand.
I have used Snapfish before but only to order prints or photobooks. I had never tried their canvas prints so I was interested to see the results.
Snapfish is really easy to use. It is very quick to upload photos and you don’t need to download any software onto your computer. Once you’ve logged in you can access all your photos including those from previous sessions, which makes it really easy to put together a project like a photobook. The thing I like best is that you can instantly access your photos from Facebook or Flickr which means you don’t have to upload them twice.
You can perform some basic edits on the photo before you order it and then it’s very simple to order prints or to make into a gift. The choice of photo products is pretty extensive. There are photobooks, mugs calendars and much more to choose from. I wanted to choose a canvas print. These start at £24.99 for a 10×8 and go up to £79.99 for a 24×20.
It is easy to select the size of canvas you want. You need to remember to have a large border around your picture as the edges of the canvas are part of the picture. As my picture was cropped quite close to the girls I added a coloured border to the image before I uploaded it.
I was really pleased with the finished canvas. It arrived within a couple of days, before I had even started to look for it. The canvas was really well packaged. The colours are bright and it is a really high quality image which I will treasure forever.
