Ever fancied having Gok Wan come to your house and tell you exactly what suits you?
Has your body changed beyond recognition after years of childbearing and neglect? Sometimes you need an honest appraisal of what suits you and what looks you simply can’t carry off any more.
iStylista’s personal shopper does exactly that without the pesky getting naked in front of millions on TV part. It is a website where you enter some basic details such as height and clothes size and then download your ultimate Style Goddess style guide. This is a pdf which gives you advice on what to buy tailored to your body shape. It also includes advice for you colouring and any problem areas you may have. You then receive email updates which you can set as frequently as you wish.
I thought the style guide was spot on for me and was actually quite encouraging as it wasn’t that far from what I normally wear (though with less tracky bums!). My advice was to stick to classic shapes with fitted shirts and unfussy prints in autumn colours. Here is my selection of clothes. I like all the choices except the shoes which are not me at all and I think I might get some funny looks at the school gates with the asymmetric dress. The dress shapes are interesting though as I wouldn’t normally go for them so if I have an occasion to buy a dress then I would give them a try.
On the website you get your own changing room full of really lovely items handpicked to your requirements. It’s like having your own personal shopper without the celebrity price tag.
