The Showcase Features
Taken from last week’s posts
Young children love sensory play – the messier the better. This week I’m featuring six brilliant ideas so the messiest, muddiest, stickiest play you can imagine. Kids will love it and as it is contained in a plastic tub really how messy can you get? Then again, have you met my twins?
Dirt and Mud Sensory Box from Slugs and Snails and Puppy Dogs Tails
Oh yes, toddlers love mud – and this one gets even better with the added ingredient of glitter.
Gardening Sensory Play from Little Moments a guest post on JDaniel4’s Mom
I’m not the best gardener so this idea is brilliant – all the fun of gardening without any of the expertise.
Cooking Play from Paint on the ceiling
This is so pretty – who would have thought you could say that about mud? A kitchen full of mud pies with added flowers – you can’t beat it.
Dinosaur Small World from Making Boys Men
Most children love dinosaurs. So why not add a few dinosaurs to your muddy sensory play box? There is also a fun spaghetti painting activity on this log so have a look at that for more sensory fun.
Coloured Ice and goop from Creative Playhouse
If you want to move away from mud then this beautiful swirling goop looks a lovely sensory experience.
Bloop from Sugar snip
Finally this post shows that sometimes it doesn’t matter if things go wrong. Here is Bloop – Blue goop made when a recipe went wrong, but it looks equally good fun!
