The Showcase Features
Taken from last week’s posts
Autumn is here and the perfect time to celebrate apples. they are such an every day fruit it is easy to take them for granted. Here are some fun family activities to teach children about this wonderful little fruit.
Apples are not just red from Little moments to embrace
I love this activity – taste testing different types of apples. It’s amazing to see all the varieties together. I’m partial to a Pink Lady myself. What’s your favourite?
Toddler Apple Trees from Blog Me Mom
Some cute toddler trees and some added number recognition using the apples for counting. Brilliant!
Apple and leaf prints from Putti’s Fun World
There are some brilliant prints on Putti’s World. Make sure you check out the Pumpkins from this week too. These apples would make lovely wrapping paper.
Contact Paper Apple Tree from Learning to be a Mom
I have a big roll of contact paper and this activity would be perfect for the twins. They would love sticking the apples on.
Apple Print Wreath from Moments of Mommyhood
A lovely wreath for your door. A sweet way to welcome visitors to your play room! Another way to use those apple prints.
Wormy Apple Handprint Art from Enchanted Homeschooling
I love this handprint idea. Handprints always make such fun pictures. It would make a lovely card.
Number Apple Tree from Momma’s Fun World
Another number activity using apples. This one has a really sweet apple song to help with number recognition.
Apple Tree Pasta from JDaniel4’s Mom
Finally, all that apple play is going to make everyone very hungry. This pasta dinner shaped like an apple tree is sure to fill you up. And what’s for pudding? Apples of course!
There is also an apple linky at JDaniel4’sMom so if you have any apple crafts make sure you head over and link up!
This week on Here Come the Girls
We have decorated some pumpkins to look like spiders. A bit of early practice for Halloween.
We have dressed up as superheros from the Avengers Assemble movie. The twins were Mini Hulks. What else would they be?
