A Postcard from Ghana

This year Comic Relief are celebrating 25 years of good work. I have been following and supporting Team Honk a group of lovely ladies who went out to Ghana last week to witness first hand the impact of Comic Relief. They were incredibly kind and took Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall with them – so nice to share the opportunity. I asked them if they would send a postcard from the school which is at the edge of the slum. I made sure I tuned into daytime telly that day and caught the part where Jonathon Ross was doing this very visit. It’s incredible to get a postcard back and to think that the money we raise for Comic Relief will actually go to help these children get that most valuable thing – an education!

Hello Rebecca!

This photo was taken at a school on the edge of a slum. Despite the hardships that slum life brings this school has flourished from a wooden hut with 12 children to a block building with 250! They were all so welcoming and friendly – and very excited as you’d imagine! We felt like One Direction for 5 minutes, every time I took a photo they all cheered at the flash!

This is a digital postcard sent from TeamHonk (www.mammasaurus.co.uk; www.aresidence.co.uk; www.mummybarrow.com ) during their travels with Comic Relief in Ghana celebrating #goodwork.
For the past 25 years the money raised through Red Nose Day has been changing the lives of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa. Let’s Keep Up the Good Work. Find out how at rednoseday.com
