Acorn Bubble Rush at Cofton Park

July 11, 2019

In just over two weeks, on Saturday 20th July, I will be taking part in the Bubble Rush Race for the Acorns Children’s Hospice Charity. The race starts at 10am at Cofton Park and is a fantastic family event which will raise lots of money and awareness of the charity as well as being a great day out. As well as taking part in the race, it’s really important to try to raise as much money as possible.

Did you know that if every Birmingham Bubble Rush participant raises £25 that could pay for just over two days of care in one of their hospices?

What is Bubble Rush

Bubble Rush is a 5K route around Cofton Park. You can run, jog or walk around the route through lots of colourful bubble stations. Bubble Commandos fire frothy milkshake bubbles from their foam cannons at the participants. The race isn’t timed so you can just relax and have fun!

How much does Bubble Rush Cost?

What is Acorns?

A parent never imagines their child will be diagnosed with a life changing or life threatening condition. When it happens, their family’s world changes forever; the future becomes unknown and frightening, and every moment together is even more precious.

But with your support, Acorns Children’s Hospice can be there for every family who needs them. Acorns helps families cope at every stage of their child’s life and beyond, wherever and whenever they need it.

The charity’s dedicated team provides specialist palliative care for life limited and life threatened babies, children and young people across the West Midlands, and support for their families.

Acorns needs £27,000 per day to run its services and the charity relies on donations and fundraising by the community and local businesses for 70% of this amount.
