Cason wooden easel

I love any product which encourages children to be creative. The Casdon Wooden Easel is brilliant for getting children to write and draw and create whatever they want. It is very versatile and you can use it for so many different things, playing schools, practising spelling and handwriting, or simply creating beautiful pictures.

It is a good idea to give children a range of different surfaces to write on and this wooden easel is perfect for that. It is a vertical surface which means it is easier for children to coordinate their eye and hand movements because it is right in front of them and therefore easy to see what they are doing. You also get two different sides. There is a magnetic whiteboard on one side and a chalkboard on the other. There are also handy clips so you can pin your own paper or cartd, which gives you yet another option.

I’m not the best at assembling furniture but this was so easy to put together, even I could do it with very little stress. The box comes flat packed and all you have to do is assemble the bottom part of the legs and the drawer. Once up, the easel is really sturdy and will take a lot of knocks. Unfortunately, you have to take out the screws in order to make it flat, it isn’t possible to fold it. Which means it will take up a bit of space in your home. However, I think this means it will be more durable.

The two sides of the easel mean two people can work at the same time. This is perfect for twins. It is suitable from ages 3 up and would be a great present for a chidlren this age as they will get lots of use out of it.

The easel comes with accessories, water beakers, chalk, and a wiper. This means you can get started straight away. It would be worth buying some magnetic letters and whiteboard pens as well to go with it. I like the fact you can store everything on the tray at the bottom. There is even space for the water beakers so you can paint.

The wooden easel costs around £25 which is a good price for something so strong and durable. It is the perfect way to encourage your child with their writing, painting and drawing.
