Which Merlin Entertainments Attraction is for You?

April 3, 2014

Merlin Entertainment runs some of the UK’s top attractions, from THORPE PARK and Alton Towers Resort to The Dungeons and Madame Tussauds London. So that you can have a great day out using your points, Nectar has partnered with Merlin Entertainments. Wherever you live, there will be a Merlin attraction not too far away. Let’s have a quick look at a few.

The Dungeons

If you are brave enough you can take a trip to Britain’s bloody past by visiting the Dungeons in Edinburgh, London, or York.  Taking a journey through over 1,000 years of Britain’s murky past, it’s a truly unique and exciting walkthrough experience that you see, hear, touch, smell and feel. It’s hilarious fun and sometimes a bit scary.

The shows are based on real local history and legends (minus the boring bits). You’ll get up close and personal with all sinister characters like Sweeney Todd, William Wallace, Dick Turpin and King Henry VIII.

Madame Tussauds London

At Madame Tussauds in London you and your family will be able to rub shoulders with the rich and famous – and the infamous – preserved for posterity in brilliant lifelike wax. The children will love being photographed with their favourite stars like Britney Spears or Lady Gaga, or maybe they prefer top athletes like Jessica Ennis. And how about a photograph with Her Majesty (no need to bow)?

SEA LIFE centres & Sanctuaries offer an insight into sea life that normally only a diver would see. How your children will be thrilled as they watch a shark swim by just inches away or as they watch the tropical fish play hide and seek in the coral. But it’s not just about fun – your whole family will be able to learn from the daily demonstrations and talks about marine life, so that you will all go away with a greater understanding of the oceans and the need to preserve them.

There are SEA LIFE centres in Birmingham, Blackpool, Brighton, Great Yarmouth, London, Scarborough and Weymouth, while the SEA LIFE Sanctuaries are at Gweek, Hunstanton and Oban.

If these attractions aren’t enough to whet your appetite, then you might also consider visiting the magnificent Warwick Castle, thrill-seekers paradise THORPE PARK or Alton Towers Resort, or Britain’s Wildest Adventure, Chessington World of Adventures Resort – the list goes on.
