Snazaroo Ultimate Party Pack

January 17, 2016

I’ve always wanted to learn how to facepaint. Whenever we go to an event there is always a stupidly long queue and I always think it would be much better to paint their faces before we go. So I was really excited to try out the snazeroo Ultimate Party Pack. We were sent a range of materials including a face painting party set, face painting brushes and sponges.

To be honest, before we got started we had a bit of a battle as the girls just wanted to use all the lovely paints to do their own faces. I wasn’t having any of that! The set is far too lovely to let those pesky kids gets their hands on and mix all the colours.

Inside the party pack, is a guide to help you get started, so it really is a great set for beginners. This makes it so easy as you can see each step and it even includes what equipment you need for each design.

There are also lots of designs to chose from. The girls took a long time choosing. A fox was first. The paint was really smooth to apply and delivers a rich bright tone. It dries quickly so you can apply different layers.

The fox design looks really sweet and we particularly liked the fluffy whiskers.

The thing I liked best was the girls instantly got into character and then spent the rest of the day playing to match the design.

Next up was a stripy tiger. This design was even easier and would be great for a total beginner. First you just paint the whole face orange using a sponge.

Then just add details. These go on with a thin brush, which is surprisingly easy to do, even if you have a very wobbly canvas.

We loved having a snazaroo face painting party. We will definitely be using this set a lot in the next few years. It will come in useful at birthday parties and for sleep overs or just for a quiet day at home. The girls have already looked through the book to decide what they want to be next.

Of course the worst bit of facepaint is taking it off at the end of the day. Luckily, this took a few wipes of a baby wipe and it was gone. Even the bright red and the balck and didn’t leave any streaks. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking to get into face painting.
