The Showcase is a place to link up child centered blog posts. It’s full of fun ideas and lots of inspiration for activities to do with your children, I just wish I could do all of them! It was started by Bern at Mum to Two Posh lil Divas and  Classified: Mom.

The Sunday Showcase is now being hosted on SIX blogs!

Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas
Here Come the Girls – (me!)
Inspiration Laboratories
Make Do & Friend
The Iowa Farmer’s Wife
Train Up a Child

This means more posts can be featured so make sure you check each of the blogs to see what posts have been chosen.

So without further ado here are my features for the Sunday Showcase. Yay!

The Showcase Features

Taken from last week’s posts

I’ve chosen lots of colour sensory activities this week. The twins love showing an object and saying what colour it is. Unless it’s pink most of the time it’s a bit of pot luck whether they will get it right. Over the next couple of months I am planning lots of fun colour activities and these posts are the perfect inspiration.

Coloured Pasta from Gratefully Growing in Grace

This is on our must do list. Coloured pasta in rainbow shades, perfect for threading or just for playing with.

Accidental Rainbows from Little Moments

We’ve had a play with water beads but this post shows how it can be a great alternative way to practice colour mixing.

Ice Cubes from Growing a Jeweled Rose

OK we have no sun here, but if/when we do we are definitely going to play with coloured ice to keep cool.

Sensory Bags from Familylicious

These sensory bags look so beautiful and have the added use for writing practice.

Coloured Rice from Homespun With Love

It’s great to see older boys enjoying sensory play. This rice looks brilliant as an alien world and shows how versatile it can be.

Colour Scavenger Hunt from Love, Play, Learn

What a great way to learn colour names and to get children active inside, it’s alos a great way to begin to categorise objects.

 Our Activity: Walking with Butterflies

This week our butterflies hatched. It was such a wonderful moment watching them fly off. Probably the best activity we have done.
