The Sunday Showcase is now being hosted on FIVE blogs!

Children don’t need much help to play imaginatively. Play is the work of childhood. However, a few careful props can really stimulate their imaginations and help the game to flow. There were some brilliant ideas on The Sunday Showcase this week and as it’s the holidays for a lot of people there is suddenly a lot more time to play.

On Here Come the Girls

It’s been a funny week here – there was a lot of snow at the beginning of the week and it was very cold  and the girls have been poorly so we couldn’t get out too much. I have been trying to get organised. This has given the girls lots of opportunities for imaginative play while I’ve been busy. Their current favourite games are getting all the toy houses out and playing with their Mickey and Minnie toys with them. They enjoy making the squeaky mouse voices rather too much, however.

We have also been doing a bit of play dough with some lovely easter colours and easter eggs.

We finished the week making origami flowers which are lovely for Spring.

Easy Felt Halloween costumes for dolls

The girls have always loved to make costumes for their toys. This year we might not be able to go trick or treating or have a Halloween party at our house but at least our dolls can have fun.
